WooCommerce accessibility plugin vs AudioEye

AudioEye combines software and expert services. A WooCommerce plugin is a narrower tool. The sensible comparison is what each option will do for your product, cart, and checkout pages, and who handles the issues left over.

Disclosure and method (September 28, 2026): AmazingPlugins publishes WooCommerce Accessibility Fixer. We reviewed AudioEye’s public product pages and the released Fixer 1.5.1 package. We did not run a controlled test of AudioEye on WooCommerce. This article compares documented scope, not measured accessibility or support quality.

AudioEye offers more than reports

AudioEye describes automated fixes, monitoring, and expert services. Its platform page also describes custom fixes and expert audits. It would be wrong to describe AudioEye as a dashboard that never remediates anything.

Ask which issues AudioEye will fix automatically, which get a custom fix, and which remain for your team. The answer may depend on your plan and the code used by your theme, checkout, and payment provider.

What a WooCommerce plugin covers

Our WooCommerce Accessibility Fixer 1.5.1 is a free WordPress plugin with nine targeted fixers. It handles selected issues such as skip links, focus indicators, landmarks, and some WooCommerce messages. It uses PHP as well as inline CSS and JavaScript. It does not offer an expert audit, catalog-wide scan, PDF compliance report, or Pro service. It does not measure text contrast or fix all checkout labels.

Neither a vendor-managed fix nor a plugin change replaces a check of the completed purchase flow. If a payment field is in a third-party iframe, for example, confirm who owns its accessibility and whether either product can affect it.

Questions to ask before buying

Ask both vendors to show what happens on a product page with variations, an updated cart, a failed coupon, and a failed payment. Ask whether fixes are saved in your theme or applied while their tool runs. Ask who retests after a theme or checkout extension update. Request an issue list that distinguishes automated findings, human findings, fixed issues, and unresolved ones.

The W3C says evaluation tools cannot check every accessibility aspect automatically. A report is useful when it directs work and records what was tested. It cannot certify an untested store.

How to decide

AudioEye is worth evaluating if you want a broader program that includes expert work and monitoring. The plugin is a smaller option for specific WooCommerce fixes. Pick based on the barriers you find and the work each provider will actually complete.
